Model 156A is an important tool to evaluate the performance of ion fans used to neutralize electrostatic charges.

Trek provides optional 156A/1 with computer connection port. This option adds a communication output port and

application software which can be used to operate, analyze and store the data of the instrument into the computer.

The Model 156A tests the ion generation efficiency of the ion fan by calculating the time for the ions generated by

the ion fan to dissipate the positive and negative voltages on the charging plate.

The Model 156A can also test the balance of generated positive and negative ions, and test the offset voltage

caused by the imbalance of positive and negative ions generated by the ion fan on the metal plate.

Typically, with the use of ion fan, the proportion of positive and negative ions produced decreases; Therefore, the

time required to neutralize the electrostatic voltage increases, and the balance of positive and negative ions also

changes.

It will take too long for the ion fan to completely neutralize the electrostatic voltage generated by the working

point; Or the ion wind will charge an otherwise uncharged object.

Using Model 156A to periodically test the balance and attenuation time of ion fan, it is easy to determine the

maintenance needs and frequency of ion fan.
